Over 1,000 (ONE THOUSAND!) long dogs attended the 10th Annual Wienerfest in Thamesford, Ontario, on Saturday, July 3rd, 2010 for the largest gathering of Dachshunds ever in Canada. Activities included a costume contest, bobbing for wieners, wiener races, and a tunnel chase! The event raised money for a pair of dog rescue and adoption agencies, Helping Homeless Pets and Tiny Paws Dog Rescue Canada.
