We love truly original dog songs the best and today's is one of our favorites. I Wanna Go Home (A Lonesome Tail) was written and is performed here by Derek Luttrell.
I Wanna Go Home, and the video it accompanies, tells the story of Socrates, a dog rescued by Hope For Paws.
Luttrell was asked to write a song about a stray dog with a happy ending and given the suggested title: "I Want To Go Home." This blues / folk song is the result. Here are the lyrics to I Wanna Go Home:

Hope for Paws is a non-profit animal rescue organization based in Los Angeles. They rescue dogs and other animals suffering on the streets and in shelters, fostering them in their home until they find them permanent loving families. The goal of Hope For Paws is to educate people on the importance of companion animals and stop the cycle of animal abuse and neglect.
