Basset Hound Dog Jewelry and Gifts for People

For Love of a Dog is a one woman small business and because all but a very few are handmade by me, they're one of a kind and limited in number.  Unfortunately, that's very true of my Basset Hound dog themed jewelry and gifts.

I do happen to adore the Basset Hound necklace shown at top.  The pendant is a hand sculpted ceramic hound dog.  Very dimensional and oh, so sweet.  I combined it with big, beautiful blue / green ceramic hearts and some natural riverstone and jasper gemstone beads for a chunky statement necklace.

Shown above is a whimsical Basset Hound necklace. The Basset Hound dog pendant is handmade of porcelain and comes with a simple silver snake chain.

My dog breed Christmas ornaments are already sold out in many dog breeds, but right now I have some Basset Hound ornaments.  Shown above is one Basset Hound Christmas ornament.  Check out the sculptural details.  Shown below is a tri color Basset Hound Christmas ornament.

If you need a little gift for a special friend consider a Basset Hound dog leash holder.  Three dimensional and very lifelike.  Not hand made, but incredibly fun.

Meet Darby, the new face of the Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation for 2013.

Darby is a 2 1/2 year old Scottish Terrier / Basset Hound mix who lived in Chesterfield, MO.  When stray dog, Darby, was lost and alone he was taken to an animal shelter.  Rescued by the Scottish Terrier Rescue and placed in foster care, Darby's second placement proved to be the perfect forever home.

Darby will be featured in the Faces of the Alliance 2013 calendar, on the Missouri Alliance for Animal Welfare website and in other publications.
