Rudy is an Adoptable Boxer Pit Bull Puppy

What a cutie!  And, let's face it, I couldn't resist featuring a dog named Rudy!  This adorable boy is a brown brindle and white Boxer and Pit Bull.  Rudy is still at puppy at only 4 months old and full of playful puppy energy.

Rudy has been calling the Humane Society of Missouri animal shelter in St Louis home since November 2012.  Definitely time for this sweet boy to find a loving forever home.

Rosie and Rudy: Wrapped Around Her Little Paw

Our sweet yellow Labrador Retriever, Rudy, is two now.  His very favorite toy is his jolly ball.  

Whenever we step out in the backyard, Rudy is zooming off to retrieve it, then appears before us with that expectant look.  You know, THAT look:  throw it!

So, on day three of Rosie's life with us, it came as a surprise when Rudy brought his jolly ball... to Rosie.

Since that first time, it has become a kind of ritual.  Rudy brings the jolly ball to Rosie and seems to be trying to help her learn to play with it.  It is obvious that she's not going to throw it for him.  He's simply sharing... his most prized possession.

It has been interesting having a puppy in the house again.  It took some time before Jeffie and Rudy really warmed up to the idea.  Rudy cracked first when he saw Rosie playing with some toys inside the house.  Pretty soon he was bringing some of his favorites to her, then just watching to see what she would do with them.  She was entertained by the toys;  Rudy was entertained by Rosie!

Here's my sweetie, Rudy.  What a wonderful big brother!

Adopt a Shelter Dog | Find a New Best Friend

This is the face of a shelter dog.

When we arrived at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, this adorable black Labrador Retriever mix puppy was all alone in a kennel.  Turns out he was part of a litter that was surrendered to the animal shelter.  His brothers and sisters were chocolate and yellow.  All of them were adopted at 8-9 weeks, as soon as they were made available for adoption.  So, all alone now, there he waited.

Maybe he was waiting for us because we fell in love.  We named him Spanky Doo and enjoyed 12 years of adventures with him.  12 years of unconditional love.

Lab Puppy Teddy is Looking for Love
